ZVEI Digital Nameplate for industrial equipment
Generic Frame for Technical Data for Industrial Equipment in Manufacturing

Submodels “Digital Nameplate” and “Handover Documentation”

With the “digital nameplate”, basic product information can be transported to the customer in a user-friendly way. A simple scan of the integrated QR code opens access to the digital twin and thus to all information (such as manufacturer, product name and type, serial number or order code) as well as the certificates of the fluid engineering product. In addition, the digital nameplate can be updated at any time and thus takes into account any changes or software updates, for example, during maintenance work.

Via the “handover documentation” submodel, you always have the latest data sheets, documentation, operating instructions and spare parts lists for your fluid power product at hand in a digital way – and everything in the right language. This increases profitability and saves valuable resources.

As an application engineer, I am responsible for commissioning complex systems from different manufacturers. Insufficiently documented data or false customer expectations due to missing standards in the job description often increased time and cost pressure. Now the asset administration shell provides a uniform data pool with all the necessary information, both for planning with the customer and for commissioning itself: I always have up-to-date operating instructions, can quickly identify products and interfaces. In addition, standards for describing customer applications simplify the planning.
